The crossover market has drastically risen over the past few years, and as it continues to grow, more and more automakers are adding new CUVs to their lineups. In this day and age, it's a must if you want to compete with the best in the business, and Toyota's one brand that's considering to expand its roster in order to keep doing just that.
With crossover sales up 16 percent in 2014, Toyota has been feeling the pressure to churn out more models. The brand's Japanese and Canadian facilities, which produce the company's signature CUV, the RAV4, have had to increase production within the last several months and things aren't looking to slow down until the end of March. This recent surge in demand has led Toyota to contemplate developing an all-new CUV that would sit just below the RAV4. As of now, no official plans have been made to develop such as vehicle, but Toyota is closely monitoring how well the RAV4 does on the market, and if sales continue to grow, we may just see a new Toyota CUV in the near future.
Although a new Toyota CUV is not in the cards quite yet, the 2015 Toyota RAV4 is on sale now at dealerships across the U.S. Take a trip down to Vandergriff Toyota to view the new model and take it for a test drive.
