The Toyota Camry has been named this year's most American-Made vehicle by Cars.com! This marks the fifth time the Camry has earned the top spot on the automotive site’s annual American-Made Index and the first time in over three years that Toyota has taken the crown. Aside from the Camry's win, the Toyota Sienna claimed the runner-up position, making Toyota a force to be reckoned with.
In order to compile the American-Made Index, Cars.com rated cars, trucks and SUVs that were built and bought in the U.S. The site took into account U.S. sales, whether or not the car was built in the U.S. and the percentage of parts considered domestic under federal regulations. The Toyota Camry, which is built in Georgetown, Kentucky, and the Sienna, which is produced in Princeton, Indiana, easily became top picks for the Index. As America's best-selling car for the past 13 years, the Camry also proved successful in the sales department.
"These results are a testament to Toyota's continued investment and growth in the United States," said Toyota North America CEO Jim Lentz, who also serves as President of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, North America, Inc. "We are strengthening our commitments to American manufacturing so we can better satisfy the needs of our customers for decades to come."
Offering excellent driving dynamics and first-class features, both the Toyota Camry and Sienna are available today at Vandergriff Toyota.
