Vandergriff Toyota is honored to announce that we have received the 2015 Environment & Safety Elite Award from Clean Auto Alliance. Our continuous efforts toward the preservation of our environment and overall health of our employees were praised by Clean Auto Alliance, which led to our recent accolade. As a dealership that promotes "green" practices and sustainability, we are beyond thrilled to be recognized for our environmental initiatives.
The Clean Auto Alliance brings together automotive businesses, government agencies and manufacturers in order to discuss environmental and safety issues. They work to educate each other on the issues and determine the best practices for addressing them. Every year the non-profit organization hands out Environmental & Safety Elite Awards to automotive facilities that achieve the standard of excellence for environmental and safety practices. The criteria used to determine the winners include, but are not limited to, environmental and safety data collected from dealerships over a 7-year period and whether or not a facility has been following regulations set by OSHA, the EPA and the DOT. Any citations given to dealerships for not complying with the regulations are also taken into account when choosing recipients. After reviewing Vandergriff Toyota, it was found that the dealership met all the criteria to eligible for the 2015 Environment & Safety Elite Award. We will hold onto the award for the next year and hope to acquire another award in 2016.
