Tacos are more than just a tasty treat – they serve as a salient symbol of Hispanic culture. Most of who live here in the Lone Star State know that tacos are one of our most favorite foods – so much so that it should be the state’s official cuisine. To help celebrate this famous and beloved food, Fort Worth is hosting its own fun-filled taco festival this year.
On Saturday, May 7, 2016, the Fort Worth Taco Fest will get underway. The goal is to bring people of many different backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities together by celebrating and honoring our rich Hispanic culture here in Texas.

With 20 local vendors on hand, you’ll have no problem in satisfying your taco appetite either. Vendors will also compete for the honors of best taco, in categories, like “best tortilla,” “best traditional taco,” “best presentation,” and “best in show.”
Aside from eating a variety of delicious tacos, you’ll also be able to enjoy live, Hispanic-themed music, theatrical performances, mariachi, and, to quench your thirst, there will be plenty of beer and margaritas.
Coinciding with Cinco de May weekend, the party is expected to draw thousands of people, with a capping attendance at 3,800.
