Arlington’s beloved Fourth of July parade will once again wow Texans in the city’s beautiful downtown. The two-mile extravaganza will feature professionally built, awe-inspiring floats that will move to the rhythm of patriotic beats played by all six Arlington high schools.

As one of the most important holidays of the year, this parade celebrates the birth of our country’s independence while saluting all of the brave men and women who fought for our freedoms. Known as Arlington’s oldest and longest running events, it is one you won’t soon forget. Grab your lawn chairs and coolers and join forces with the 75,000 other spectators to experience a July Fourth party like no other!

Did you know that Independence Day 2016 will mark 240 years of America’s independence from England? It all began on July 2, 1776, when the Thirteen Colonies legally separated from England. Two days later, Congress gave the Declaration of Independence their final stamp of approval, making July 4, 1776, the first official day that America became independent from England.

We hope you will join us in honoring this momentous day in our country’s history by taking part in this meaningful celebration!
