What's New For the 2019 Toyota Sequoia?

The 2019 Toyota Sequoia keeps the basic design and structure that has worked for this SUV since its introduction in 2001. Similar to the 2018 version, 2019's Sequoia includes upgrades from previous years such as the multi-information display, the new gauge cluster, and the center console with added covered storage space.

The interior of the 2019 Sequoia provides three rows of seating which allows for up to eight passengers. With 18.9 cubic feet of cargo room in the back, 66.6 cubic feet behind the second row of seats, and 120.1 cubic feet behind the front row, you will find plenty of room for everything you need to transport along with ample leg room.

Updated lights and a redesigned grill carry over from the 2018 Sequoia to this year's model. The new exterior color options have also been extended to the 2019 version with choices like Toasted Walnut Pearl, Shoreline Blue Pearl, and Midnight Black Metallic still included.

Which Features are Available for 2019?

There are four trim levels available for the 2019 Sequoia. All trim levels are offered in either two-wheel or four-wheel drive. The SR5 and the TRD are the least expensive with cloth seats and the standard Entune Audio Plus sound system. The SR5 holds up to eight passengers while the TRD seats seven. The Auto dimming rearview mirror with Homelink is available as an option while the Toyota Safety Sense Package and the Star Safety System are standard.

The Limited and Platinum sell for slightly more with leather seats and the Entune Premium Audio System in the Limited and the Entune Premium JBL Synthesis audio system in the Platinum. The Limited can seat up to eight while the Platinum can hold seven passengers. Auto dimming rearview mirrors with Homelink, Toyota Safety Sense Package, and the Star Safety System are standard on both.

2019 Toyota Sequoia Performance is Amazing

2019 Toyota Sequoia Exterior FrontThe Sequoia has an all-aluminum 5.7L V8 standard in all trim levels that puts out 381 horsepower with 401 pound to foot torque. This, combined with a curb weight of 5,695 to 6,000 pounds, allows the Toyota Sequoia to get 13 miles per gallon in the city and 17 miles per gallon on the highway. In addition, there is a towing capacity of 7,000 to 7,400 pounds.

What Safety Features are Available on the New Sequoia?

2019 Toyota Sequoia Exterior RearThe Toyota Safety Sense Package and the Star Safety System is standard on all 2019 trim levels. The Safety Sense Package offers excellent features such as a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection that works through integrated cameras and a radar system. A lane departure Alert helps you avoid unintended lane departures by sensing when the vehicle veers from your current lane. Nighttime driving is easy with the automatic high beams, and the dynamic radar cruise control adjusts your speed in order to keep you at a safe distance from other vehicles. Road Sign Assist uses cameras to detect stop signs, speed limit signs, yield signs, and do not enter signs. The package finishes with Lane Tracing Assist that uses the preceding vehicles and the lines on the road to help you stay centered when the Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is on.

Toyota's Star Safety System further increases your safety with several everyday driving features. This includes an anti-lock brake system, traction control, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, vehicle stability control, and Smart Stop Technology. All six features come standard so that you won't have to worry about upgrades or paying additional charges for your protection.

The Toyota Sequoia is a vehicle that should be experienced in person, so be sure to visit our Arlington dealership to take a test drive.
