What's New For the 2021 Toyota Prius?

The Toyota Prius has been a top choice for those searching for a hybrid vehicle. The Prius continues to stand out as one of the safest vehicles in its class, offering more safety technologies on the newest model year. The Prius lineup has a new trim for 2021, a limited edition called the 2020 Edition. Drivers have some choices with the 2021 Prius for a personalized finish, including the option to get all-wheel drive for extra traction and control on slick roads.

2021 Prius Trims and Features

Starting off the Prius series for 2021 is the L Eco. This trim has many standard features for a base model, beginning with a user-friendly infotainment system containing a seven-inch display screen and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Amazon Alexa is standard as well. The L Eco also comes with Toyota's Safety Sense package, which adds on a number of standard driver assist safety aids.

The second Prius trim is the LE, which offers front-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive (AWD-e) configuration. Additional features are added to include more safety aids and a parking assist system. Special LED lighting distinguishes the all-wheel drive version.

The XLE is also available in all-wheel drive. This trim upgrades to simulated leather upholstery for its seats. The front seats are also heated and multi-way adjustable.

Moving up to the 2020 Edition provides special 17-inch wheels with a premium painted black finish. The 2020 Edition has some custom interior accents, including floor mats with the "2020" logo. The Limited trim upgrades to the newest infotainment system offered for the Prius, which has a larger and more intuitive display screen. The audio system is upgraded to a premium JBL sound system.
