What's New For the 2021 Toyota Sienna?
With its complete redesign, the Toyota Sienna enters the 2021 model year as a fourth-gen model. A more fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain replaces the V6 of yesteryear, and all-wheel drive-still a rarity among minivans-is now available.
The Toyota Sienna Has Many Features Across Several Trims
The 2021 Toyota Sienna is available in five trims: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum. Although the minivan provides three rows of seats, maximum occupancy varies by trim. The base LE includes a second-row bench-style seat to maximize occupancy at eight people. The XLE provides the choice of a pair of second-row captain's chairs to reduce maximum occupancy to seven. The XSE, Limited, and Platinum are standard seven-seaters. The XLE has a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat that joins the eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, as well as synthetic leather seat trim and front-seat heating. Leather seat trim and front-seat cooling appear at the Limited trim level. Exclusive to the Platinum model are steering-wheel and second-row heating.
For infotainment, the Sienna combines a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system, SiriusXM Radio service, Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, seven USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 9-inch touchscreen. Also standard are tri-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate, and remote keyless entry with push-button start. The XLE trim level gains a power moonroof, an eight-speaker setup, an HD Radio receiver, quad-zone automatic climate control, and proximity keyless entry. A navigation system and an in-care intercom appear at the XSE trim level, and the upper-level Limited and Platinum models get wireless device charging and 12 speakers.

What's Under the Hood of the Toyota Sienna?
The 2021 Toyota Sienna's powertrain consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a pair of electric motors, and a continuously variable transmission. The total output is 245 horsepower. Fuel economy is an improved combined 36 MPG.
2021 Sienna Safety Technologies
The Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite provides several driver safety aids, including adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, and road sign detection. Also present are a rearview camera with rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. If a crash occurs, the Sienna can deploy any of its ten airbags, accompanied by a one-year trial subscription to Safety Connect for functions such as automatic collision notification and emergency assistance. Front parking sensors and hands-free parking assist appear at the XLE trim, and only the Platinum has a head-up display and a surround-view parking camera system.
