Buying an EV can save drivers around $4,600 over the life of the vehicle, which is about half the cost of a gas-powered car.
Depreciation
The research done by Consumer Reports indicates that electric vehicles are holding their value either as well or better than traditional cars. Many new EVs are able to travel more than 200 miles on just one charge, helping them maintain their value. That said, all EVs will not depreciate at the same rate.
