What are the Trim Differences in the 2019 Corolla?

As you learn more about the 2019 Corolla, you might want to take a test drive. The trims that are available for 2019 are the L, LE, LE Eco, XLE, SE and the XSE. Many of the features in the L are standard through higher trims. These features include a USB outlet, power windows, LED headlights, daytime running lights, power door locks, hands-free phone connectivity, a sound system, climate control, Safety Sense and eight airbags. For a an even more premium experience, the XLE comes with additional features as base equipment that are not included in the L trim. These are remote door locks, a color touchscreen for Entune Audio Plus, a tilt and power slide panoramic sunroof and several additional features. At the highest end of the spectrum, the XSE for gives you a modern nav system integrated into the infotainment panel, powered and heated front seats, leather interior and more great features.

How Does the 2019 Corolla Stack Up in Performance?

2019 Toyota Corolla Passenger SideThe 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback comes with your choice of a new Dynamic-Shift CVT (K120), or six-speed manual transmission (only available at the SE trim level). The Dynamic-Shift CVT transmission includes an optional Sport Mode and paddle shifters. Shifting speeds are significantly faster than the previous year model.

The new Corolla has undergone several engine improvements, including the first launch gear to be added to a four-door vehicle CVT. The launch gear helps improve the performance of the transmission at low RPMs. Despite its small engine size, the Corolla is not slow, but it is not as fast as other hatchbacks. This compact car runs 0-60 in 8ish seconds. If Toyota implemented a turbocharger kit into the Corolla hatchback, it would be better equipped to compete with other hatchbacks.
