EVgo Inc. has partnered with Toyota to enhance EV charging access by opening new fast-charging stations in Baldwin Park and Sacramento, California. These stations are part of Toyota's "Empact" initiative, which focuses on expanding infrastructure in underserved communities. Each location is equipped with high-capacity 350kW chargers and is designed to be both cost-effective and conveniently placed near high-traffic areas like grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping centers. Each station can charge up to eight vehicles simultaneously.
This summer, Toyota announced its investment in the EV charging network IONNA, aiming to create a powerful charging infrastructure for battery electric vehicles across North America. Alongside six other automakers, Toyota is backing IONNA to improve access to charging stations for EV owners.
